The Iowa Waste Reduction Center (IWRC) is a service of the University of Northern Iowa. We've been helping small businesses achieve environmental compliance since 1987. The IWRC is comprised of programs that provide environmental compliance assistance, waste reduction and pollution prevention consulting.
During the 90's we began focusing on the coatings application industry, developing the programs Painting and Coating Enhancement (PACE), and the Spray Technique Analysis and Research (STAR). Today we are the training provider for the Defense Department (STAR4D).
Our trainers and researchers work closely with the military and private sector companies to train and improve their applicators. More than 1000 painters have benefited from our efforts, and along the way, we've developed several products to aid in that training; we now offer these products to other organizations. VirtualPaint was developed by IWRC to minimize the time, materials, and environmental impact of painter training while increasing finish quality.
The Iowa Waste Reduction Center is located in Cedar Falls, Iowa on The University of Northern Iowa campus. The IWRC's VirtualPaint lab is located in our training facility located at 6112 Chancellor Drive, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613. Call us at 1-877-777-0791.
