+How Does LaserPaint Work
LaserPaint attaches easily onto any spray gun. Once attached, a small button turns on the device. A laser beam passed through a beam splitter producing two laser beams that are projected onto the part. The spray technician can then hold the spray gun at the optimal distance for spraying and set the two laser beams into a single dot. The technician then uses that single dot throughout the entire spray operation... Immediate feedback is shown to the technician if the distance or angle of their spray gun changes by the two laser dots appearing. The single dot results in spraying at the correct 50% overlap, reducing overspray and improving transfer efficiency. According to the EPA’s Environment Technology Verification program, the technology used by LaserPaint can increase transfer efficiency by up to 38.8%. |
